It’s been a while since I wrote something here. How did that happen?! I have no idea.
Couple of things to report. I’ve been off for summer for the last couple of months, so I’m literally doing nothing but enjoying it after a pretty exhausting year. I did, however, go on an amazing holiday to America recently – probably one of my favourite holidays ever – and I might write a little bit about it soon. I’m a lucky chappy.
Brendan Rodgers was appointed as Liverpool manager at the start of June. I was surprised to see Kenny Dalglish go, having convinced myself that he was going to get another season, but I think Brendan’s fresh and very refreshing ideas could be a success. I personally hope he’ll do really well, and can see him getting time provided we don’t become unspeakably bad or relegation candidates.
I saw The Amazing Spider-Man last week and really enjoyed it. I was apprehensive at first about such a hasty reboot, but I’m not part of the camp that thought the previous trilogy was absolutely amazing. They were good films, sure, but I think Spider-Man 3 was pretty poor and I wasn’t a big fan of Tobey Maguire. In contrast, I thought Andrew Garfield was brilliant. I’m a fan of his from some of his previous work, and I am looking forward to seeing how this series pans out. Parts of the film were a bit repetitive and predictable, but that’s the same with any origin story that is based on something well-known, like how Spiderman came to be.
A boring update – I’ve had to transfer the springfield connection to a new host, but I’m having a couple of problems so that’s why it’s unavailable. I’m hoping to get some support from my new host over the next couple of days, so hopefully we’ll be back before you know it.
Until next time.
